Munro Island which boasts for a colourful past is now an underdeveloped Panchayath in Kollam (Quilon)District of Kerala.
With a population of 13,000 distributed in 2500 families roughly, the major revenue generation is from Agriculture and allied industries.
Since the early 21st century, agriculture is facing huge crisis and people are becoming jobless which is adding to the plight of the Islanders.
In this context Munro Island Community Tourism Project is formed with the given objectives.

To institute programmes aimed at the total Social and Rural development of Munro Island
